Hi Guys,

I have an electrical issue with my 400SE. The centre dials dont work or the indicators or the warning lights. They all seem to share the same 12v and I have measured he voltage at the voltmeter with my multimeter at 1.3V. I am puzzled to say the least. Has anyone out there got a wiring diagram for a 400 as the one in the bible doesnt match mine, I guess for a 350i. Or better still any ideas?

Cheers

Where did you take your measurement from? make sure that you get a good earth, preferably direct from the battery - if you took the measurement from the same earth used by the same circuit you may be measuring a differencial voltage because of a poor earth.

Failing this, if your getting a residual voltage its is likely that you have a poor connector creating a high resistance - so, first principles, check the circuit earth - then check the supply to the fuse and work backwards.

Shaun

The diagram in the bible doesn't cover the 350i either, believe me!
It's more likly for a 390, as is the majorty of the Bible!
