My new van

Had a drive last week, climate, sat nav, DVD, low ratio box. Very nice piece of kit and far too agile for it's size

I drive a Sprinter every day for work on the North Yorkshire Moors, the one thing I really wish for is the AWD variant.

Yep I currently drive a 2WD LWB High roof, the places it has got to is amazing, however, this will be used to ferry us to some remote sites in the highlands.

Had the current van well and truly stuck a couple of times, the most notable requiring an L200 and lots of trakmat to remove it. I was up to its axels

Good effort man. Mines the same, but it doesn't get used on truly muddy terrain. Had it properly stuck in the snow quite a few times though! Boss won't buy winter tyres

Looks like a lot of fun! Just out of interest, what exactly do you do at these remote sites?

I have absolutely no need for a four wheel drive Sprinter, but if I won the lottery I'd buy one tomorrow, fit big knobbly tyres and go and terrorise Land Rovers at Pay and Play sites.

I work in telecoms, as a rigger. Most sites we vist are in the middle of nowhere, but up to yet my current two wheel drive Sprinter has coped well. The sites we will be visiting are only accessible by 4x4, the kit we use simply won't fit in a normal 4x4.

A mate bought the older model Sprinter 316 4x4.

Wishes he hadn't as its noisier than the 2WD, doesn't drive as well and lots of bits are unique to that model.

Currently the 4wd isn't working as it MAY need an ECU costing over £1000 and MB can't G tee it will fix the problem hence my mate being loathe to part with the money.

I read that very quickly and had quite a shock for a moment.
