Tuscan insurance

Any suggestions for Tuscan insurers?

I've had an S Series for 15 years, but Hagerty have lost interest in TVR's it seems, before that I was with classic line so I was wondering who else was competitive?

Me: 40 yrs male, sp30 (4 years ago), no claims in about 20 years!
TVR: Tuscan mk1 4.0, 2001, garaged, upto 5000mls/yr, second car

Any suggestions?

Not a specalist at all but I found that KwikFit insurance was vedry good.

Give A-plan a call, if you get their number from 118 etc you'll need their Thatcham office I think.

I changed to them last year, have a 2000 Tuscan, unlimited mileage and full business use, protected no claims etc... totalled in at about £400 for the year.

My policy is underwritten by QBE who were a dream to deal with when somebody tapped the back end just after christmas.

I pay just under £500 with Mannings at 26, 6 year protected NCB, 3 points limited to 5000, includes track days

think all insurances cover track days as it is "driving enhansment". Not racing nor pace making..

Another vote for Mannings. 01491 577123. £440 limited to 5K miles, I'm 39. Used to be with Haggerty until they stopped doing post 1980 cars

You sure about that? All the insurance I have had in the past have said that it does not cover any driving on tracks of any kind

Have you thought about going back to Classicline. My tus, ungaraged, 5k a year @ £420. This includes my Chim for a month (must get round to trying to sell!). I have found them hassle free and customer service is great.

If it's being used as a second car, try admiral and there multi-car policy. I insured my 2001 Tuscan and a 1.8 Vectra fully comp for both for £620.

I was 27 at the time, (2 and a half years ago) with full 8 years NCB on the Tuscan and 0 on the Vectra then last year I was £580 for both.

I went with Mannings in the end - easily the cheapest at £474, with no no-claims available from my S insurance with Hagarty (despite having had it for 15 years with no claims!)

I also went with mannings 2000 Tuscan 4.0 limited to 5000 miles garaged trackdays included £378, MSM were also competetive but decided to go with mannings.

If you have another car try Admiral. On a multi car policy I got it for 3 hundred and something (and saved a packet on the other 2 cars I was insuring as well) - 5k pa, garaged. No track cover obviously but don't have time for that at the moment in any case. 10 years PNCD. Mannings were next best at a little under £500.

Another vote for Mannings from me.

At least they know the cars....don't get the "How many seats does it have?" questions.
Also, covered me for the parade laps at the Le Mans Classic this year - - no prevarication, just a straightforward "yes, you're covered under the track day clause".

Perhaps not the cheapest, but I do believe the most straightforward broker!

Hi been with Mannings for ever (£441 this renewal) but Henderson Taylor Ins. yesterday quoted £386 with Aviva. Henderson Taylor (Matthew 0161 4377442) will be at TVRCC Blackpool BNG and have also been sponsoring Cars In The Park this year. Worth a call surely.

Heritage gets my vote - just used them for my recently acquired Tuscan (my 4th TVR) and they were cheapest by a vaery big margin - half the price of all the usual suspects (Mannings, Adrian Flux, etc...). Have used them for previous cars and the service is excellent too. Highly recommended

I paid £325 last year with Hagerty my broker wants £1380 for the renewal this year! Manning uk came in at £418 for 5k, so Manning uk have my vote!

49 year old living in kent, no convictions 5 years no claim bonus, garaged with 5000 miles. Heritage quoted £931.60 WITH compulsory excess of £600 AND additional volantary excess of £100.
