Currently looking for a SH car around 1500 or below, and this came up on my autotrader search. bit over budget, totally not what i'm looking for (cheap to mantain, relaible and relatively economial), and insurance companies will laugh in my face but still, I want it!

Why would the insurance companies laugh in your face? Can't you get a classic policy for that?

Well I got a quote for a 2.0 190E from a classic car insurer (can't remember the names) and it worked out at over £2K. Might be different for this. Trouble is i'm only 22, so I don't think they like the idea of me very much. Anway, I couldn't afford to run it even if I could insure it!

If you can only afford to spend 1500 buying a car, I would suggest the running costs of a 200,000 mile bmw of that vintage may be a struggle too.

In my defence, PH was spazzing up at the time. At least I think it was.
