Aberdeen(ish) reception / function venue

Has anyone been to a reception / function someone in or around Aberdeen lately and thought the venue was great?

The same as above but thought it was bad?


Basically looking at holding a function and would like any advice as to where would be good. Probably around 150-200 people. I'm looking for somewhere with good staff, nice decor and a place that feels 'special.' Cost is secondary to ambiance!

I will be looking round places but I'm wracking my brains as to where to begin. It seems most places aren't keen on putting pics up on their websites!

New Park Inn hotel opened in Justice Mill Lane today. Looks pretty smart, and they have a function room for about 200

Looks like I'll be dragged round loads of places later this year then sussing it out.

The smaller function suite at the Marcliffe caught our eye. Anyone been to a do there as opposed to the ballroom?

Yes been there not that long ago. Fantastic venue, great staff. You will not be dissapointed.
