I'm guessing not the Varsity though .... I just cant work out how a 25 year old can have flown any of the aircraft at Newark ? wink

It all revolves around how many times you've been 25! wink

And no I never flew in a Varsity - I had some Instructors that did though.

c'mon

unlike "the lassie who knows about these things" I haven't flown in anything* at Newark but I'd love to see the pictures
  • unless there're a few Chippies, Hastingses, Britannias or Herky birds(they were still in brown-sand-white-black when first I was cargo in them, green/grey were the ones in 81)
I was (honest) going to suggest Varsity, shape of the windows was a clue for me

I didn't think of Varsity - but I was thinking of Valiant or Vanguard - so I at least had the right manufacturer in mind.

That's dating you wink

The green/grey repaints started around the mid-70's as the a/c went through the MU IIRC.
I have a very vague recollection of the last one left in the old brown-sand-black scheme being in the big 25th Anniversary Herk line-up at the RIAT at Greenham Common in 1979 just prior to it going for repaint....??
