ex-demo Zesty 314 vs. Zesty 214?

For about the same amount of money (£1400 vs £1500) would you go for an ex-demo Zesty 314 or new Zesty 214?

Alas I've not demo'd either, seen the ex-demo bike, and don't know anyone who I can borrow from. Would you buy an ex-demo bike you hadn't physically seen?

btw. The only other bikes I've considered are the Orange 5 (obviously 2nd hand at that sort of money) or a Rize 4 which I can't find in white anywhere anyway (last years stock as they don't make them any more).

definately get the 314, of the three things that matter (bar frame) the forks and wheels on the 314 are far superior than the same components on the 214. the rear shock is the same from the look of it but the fox forks and mavic rims on the 314 will make for a better ride copared to the 214. i wouldnt worry about the "ex-demo" thing, most of the time they are only used lightly and the shops tend to take care of them better these days as they know that they can get good money for them at the end of the season...
