How much are a brand new set of tyres worth?

I have a set of 4 brand new tyres, Michelin Energy X 205/55x16 tyres - they are the latest generation of fuel efficient low noise tyres; they are on brand new anthriacite alloy wheels and all together they cost around £700 but I advertised them for £295 and they haven't sold.
So I'm thinking about selling the tyres and keeping the wheels and getting winter tyres.
They have only been fitted and on the car to move the car around but not on the road.
MyTyres.co.uk are currently selling them for around £80 each.
What should I ask for the tyres?

Trouble with selling 'new' tyres is that people assume they're not really 'new' otherwise why would you be selling them unless there is something wrong with them. So I'm thinking about selling the tyres and keeping the wheels and getting winter tyres.

£80 new? Maybe £30 - £50 each?
What car are they for? Might have more luck in an vehicle-specific forum.
Perhaps I should do a deal with a tyre seller?
The reason I have the wheels and tyres is that I bought my new car and chose a set of optional alloys instead but they were an outright purchase rather than an upgrade so the brand new alloys wheels & tyres fitted to the car are now sitting in my garage and have never been used except for moving the car around when it came off the lorry and before it was PDI'd

I don`t really need the wheels but if they fit a Honda FRV then they might do for my winter tyres that are fitted on steel VW wheels presently.

I just checked Rochford wheels website and the Honda FRV is also 5x114 PCD, the offset is slightly less but as long as your wheels have 10mm of space btween the outer edge and the wheel arch they'll fit just fine.I`m off out shopping now (lucky me!) but will bookmark this thread.
I simply can't understand why the value of something drops by 50% simply because it's not being bought brand new from a shop.
I witnessed something similar to this on the Peugeot 406 Coupe Forums a while back.
Chap was selling some lowering springs, still brand new in the box with manufacturers warranty and receipt.
Yet nobody was willing to part with more than 50% of the original purchase price.
Why?
I've begun to horde stuff at home, as I simply refuse to just sell it for nothing, because it's 'used'.

Well, I bought the car new and they had these storm grey alloys as part of the special edition package but I preferred them silver and so I bought a set of 17" wheels as fitted to the top of the range model. The dealer fitted the new wheels and I took the others home in the boot when I picked my new car up, hence they are unused.TonyRPH said:

I agree, these wheels & tyres were £718.40 but I was only after £295 I witnessed something similar to this on the Peugeot 406 Coupe Forums a while back.

That's why I decided to keep them as winter wheels and sell the tyres on. But as you say, I'll end up taking £30 each for the tyres and then paying £70 each for some new winter tyres of a lesser brand.
Seems daft eh but there is another saying "things are only worth what people are willing to pay for them"
And as we all know, people now want the best they can for next to nothing.

The seller could have a mate who could get him a new empty box, you know the ones that sell on e-bay every so often. Receipt and warranty well they could be real or they could be someone with a scanner and printer.I witnessed something similar to this on the Peugeot 406 Coupe Forums a while back.

The issue is that buy off an individual and it is buyer beware, buy off a shop and you have comeback
