I've only just found this most incredible thread, over on the Autosport Nostalgia Forum.

The subject matter is mainly that of older racing cars, but there's a heck of a lot more than just that and there is the most amazing insight from many artists.

The thread is also 148 pages long, but honestly, it's worth a glance to anyone interested in cars... it's incredible imo.
