Is this that film where Michael Cera plays a socially awkward teenager?

Yes but this one has Mary Elizabeth Winstead in it so that should balance it out smile

I prefer Tom Cruises films. He's got such a range!

Tom Cruise is a ------, a pretty good ------ too, maybe one of the best.
Until then he has a crisis of confidence!
But with the love a good woman, he becomes a better ------ than ever before!

Thankyou Rich Hall

Really looking forward to watching this. Anything from the director of Spaced, Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz and based on 80's/90's video game culture has to be awesome!!!

Just got back from seeing it.

If you have ever played a video game then this film is for you. Hate to use the term but it is a "love letter" the video games. The whole movie is insane, over the top and stupidly funny (in a really clever way). The fight scene's are even more over the top than the trailer shows them to be.

No real spoilers but the use of the universal logo/music both at the start of the movie and at one point during the movie was inspired.

I think you can tell, I thought it was bloody brilliant smile

Elsewhere I've seen a lot more negative reviews of this film.

Will have to watch it myself and see. I liked the trailer

film critics are like food critics. it could be the best tasting meal in the world and they'd pick holes with it just because they have to be different.

Indeed. I enjoyed it, the missus didn't. I enjoyed the passwords to enter the club and the girl drummer's introductions to the band.

Literally just seen this film. Friend at work gave it a solid 5/10. I give it a 9.5/10. Stupidly funny film, loved it.

And I really think Mary Elizabeth Winstead is bloody gorgeous.
