Weird future value question

how much do you reckon a 2007 toyota aygo would be worth with say 50k miles on it in 2015 (i.e. 8 yrs old!)?

aha but...!

a 2002 ka has loads of co2s etc etc. the aygo will be cheap enough to tax for some time yet...(??) so that must go in favour of the aygo in this calc..right?

Well, no. cars are getting cleaner all the time. In 2015 the hippies will look at an Aygo with contempt. It'll won't be long before it's seen as dirty and will be taxed accordingly.

.. i do agree.. maybe the key is to find the best 2002 car - some sort of corsa or something..

i certainly thing a 'normal' 2002 supermini isn;t 100% comparable because there was almost no consideration of stupid co2/kg measures..

the aygo wasn;t affected at all though last time..(in terms of value, we all know the car wasn;t affected!).

I would say a couple of grand.

I would compare it to an 8 year old car that costs £120 a year to tax right now.

By 2015 Co2 emmissions that low will be the norm for small cars so I cant see it being valued at any thing special.

Given the value of the earliest smarts, my guess is around £1500 . . . . . . . . . . . . but guessing is all anybody will be able to do
