Having had three, and running #4, they all do it

My 1993 with less miles and in similar condition only fetched £400 on Ebay. It had 11 months tax and 6 month MOT left on it too.

Rust on an LS400? I've owned a couple and looked at loads when buying, and never seen a hint of rust in person, or mentioned on adverts. Something not right with that one; move on, plenty more to be had for the same or less!

They can rust around the door/window trim

Apart from that they tend to be very well rustproofed.

My spidey sense is tingling with that service history. Check out the first stamp - presumably PDI. Phone number of dealer 01706. Then the three subsequent stamps are 0706 and all written in the same pen? The 1 was inserted to phone prefixes at some point and was never removed. Is that a dodgy stamp?

At the very least if there's no invoices I'd be ringing up the dealer to check.

Not fully bored bangerdom but at sub four large and just over 100k on the odo, this 430 represents unfeasible vfm.

An acquaintance has one with 150k up and drives like new and barring a bit of aircon difficulty (resolved by a monkey of independent spannerage) renders many alternative marque, equivalent fiscal spunk puntage ever so slightly mad.

Perhaps this one - with 275k on the clock - tells a tale of reliability that defines the logic of LS selection in the cheap barge category more than most?
