Insurance for UK car in Croatia
Discussion
Hi,
I am working in Croatia at the moment with a standard RHD car. I have been here for almost 3 months and my European cover will run out soon. The insurance company in question want a silly figure for renewal price, which leaves me with two options. Insure here in Croatia or find a UK company who is happy with insuring european cover for extended periods of time. More than 90 days would really be ideal as I expect I will be here for at least 6 more months.
Any ideas or suggestions please!

ship car back to UK and keep insurance and then by a cheapo where you are
Not really an option I'm afraid, I don't want the agro of running two cars - plus the costs of second hand cars here is so expensive you would not believe (try 14,000 euros for a 2003 BMW 320d, 80k km/s).Any contact details for europe friendly insurers?

www.stuartcollins.com will do you a 360 day green card (fully comp) though be advised the guy who runs the company seems to be an absolute tw@t.
Ecarinsurance and NFUmutual offer unlimited cover as part of the policy.
All companies are required to provide 365/365 green card cover EU wide for 3rd party risks under European law - the 90 day stuff you hear about is referring to fully comp cover under the particular companies own T&Cs. If the car isnt too valuable might be worth running around TP?
