Fitting Bluetooth hands free to a TVR

I've just joined the world of Bluetooth and would like hands free in the Chimaera but don't want to see any gubbins in the car. Is there a system available that will link the phone wirefree into the stereo with only a mic on show and if so what should I be paying?

When I say wirefree I mean a hideaway unit linked to the stereo to communicate to the phone without connecting it.

Acording to the law you have to have the phone attached to the dash. You could get a vent mounted holder though to save drilling holes or permanent fixtures.

They come off really easily too, usually on tight corners

I agree that if it was in your pocket and working on voice activation it would be even safer, but will bib believe you when he/she is having a bad day? I doubt it.

I have also recently seen a blue tooth speaker that plugs into a ciger lighter. The mic on your phone is sufficient to do the rest if its ont he dash. I dont know if the speaker would go loud enough though.
I think I saw it at Novatech. Look them up online.

I use a Jabra headset with voice activated dialling. I can use it any car without having to duplicate the kit. Plus the phone can be up to thirty feet away. It has a background noise cancelling wossname, so works well in the Tiv. It was only about 80 quid and is very comfortable.
However, the voice dialling doesn't work too well in the Tuscan because of the engine sound getting in the way. It usually works OK at tickover, but that's about it. I guess it's because the names I allocate to numbers are recorded in a quiet environment, but called upon in a loud one. I have thought about setting up the voice tags whilst driving to see if that fixes it, but then I realised I was getting my priorities muddled and didn't take it any further.

Dusty - IIRC the law doesn't say it has to be dash mounted - but does say you can't hold the phone in your hand whilst driving. If you choose to keep your phone in your pocket or briefcase or wherever else when using a bluetooth hands free then IMO you are not breaking the law - providing you don't touch the phone on the move or stationary with engine running!
