I'll admit from the outset, I made a small error. A small one.

My local Tesco has a funny layout, there's a bit where what you might normally consider to be priority traffic isn't actually priority. I know this so slow down for a look before driving on. Except a couple of days ago I slowed, didn't see anything and drove on. Next thing I know I have a black Citroën C2 on my arse, lights flashing and horn blaring so I did what any rational person would do and held my hand up in apology. Then I have to stop at traffic lights and some mad woman is bashing on my window questioning the legitimacy of the marriage of my mother and late father at the time of my birth and proclaiming I should seek the services of a driving instructor. I did then what any other man would do and once again apologised then got bored and told her she was a silly bh and should get in her fking car. The lights turn green and I drive off.

What is wrong with this woman? She thought it was a good idea to get out of her car to abuse a random male. She might have been some sort of ninja or MMA legend but with her 5'4" textbook example of heroin chic, I'm pretty sure that had I been a sociopathic/psychopathic nutter I could have taken her...

Getting out of your car is mental, you really don't know what sort of nutter is in the other car and what they have to hand. I fear this woman will find that out the hard way.

Rage.... doesn't have to make sense.

Last time it happened to me, abiet on a smaller scale, was also quite funny. This short-arse ginger bloke was going mental in his car.. practically hopping up and down. Made me chuckle.

I too can't understand why any one would get out of their car at traffic lights to verbally abuse a stranger, for all she knows you could be a nut job with a short temper.
I wonder how they would feel mid road rage if some took the opportunity to jump in there vacant car and drive off hehe

The other day, I was waiting to turn right out of a really badly sighted junction. Coast was clear both ways as far as I could see so I went for it as quickly as possible (bear in mind, I was in a diesel Smart). At the same time a Saxo came belting around the corner and almost certainly had to brake quite heavily as I was probably doing a good 30 mph less than him when he saw me. He gave me the usual coffee beans etc.. so I held up a hand to apologise. What followed was a most unusual ritual. For the next mile (and bear in mind we were in relatively heavy traffic) he would slow to a crawl and then accelerate hard up to my boot and then brake hard and do it all again, over and over like a yo-yo. Bizarre!

Idiots who can't accept people make mistakes. I once pulled in a little sharply after an overtake and the bloke behind started flashing and hooting. I held my hand out of the window, saying sorry, but he kept pulling back, driving at the rear of my car with his lights on full beam, inches from my bumper, hand jammed constantly on the horn. As I had made the initial error I tolerated this for a time but he continued for four miles until I pulled in and he jumped out of his car and stalked towards me with his chest puffed out. When I got out he turned round and ran back to his car then reversed like an idiot about 50 yards up the pavement into oncoming traffic. I guess he'd overestimated his Rambo factor by a good margin.

To the OP: Yes, she was stupid to rant in such a way. You'd already acknowledged the mistake, although she was probably already furiousrageevil by then.
What if you'd have got out of your car and punch her?

The response should have been in a creepy voice with eyes wide and a big grin:
'Mmmmmm, you look ready'

Keep it simple.

Or a 335d (mapped) - she'd have never caught him.
