Right, basically been offered a new position in London, with a payrise etc, recruiters been badgering me to try to convince work for me to leave my month's notice alone if possible, to which they actually agreed (They are stopping all .net work so no point having me around for a month)

Turns out the new place cant hire me for 3 weeks anyway! So im gunna be out of pocket for 3 weeks, and im moving into new flat in 2 weeks time, which means I wont be able to make the rent next month! fk!

Anyone need a Lead/Senior Dev C#.net/mvc/asp.net dev for 3 weeks ? Have CV etc, available asap pretty much.

I would be politely asking the recruiter to sacrifice some of their margin to you.

Outrageous behaviour!

You must be proper pi$$ed at the recruiter.

As above, sounds like someone ought to put their hand up and say they didn't check properly and have stitched you good and proper.

How can you assume it's the recruiters fault? For all you know the client could have told the recruiter they want them in ASAP and changed their mind last minute due to a line manager going on holiday or whatever reason.

I had a very similar situation happen to me earlier in the year...

However, that's not what the OP has said above. If it's a genuine mistake then fair enough, but OP's not said "the recruiter knew what was going on and informed me all the way through the process."

If the recruiter was on top of things this wouldn't have happened.
