My Triumph 1500 engine has had a big end brearing spin on a crank that was reground about 1500 miles ago. There is some marking on the crank journal - its difficult to see but if you scrape a finger nail over it it will pick it up. Normally I would have it re ground but the up-rated bearings I want to use only come in one size - the size the crank was gound to last time.

Polish it with some wet and dry, plenty of oil as a lube. I'd want to know why it spun in the first place if it were me. Sounds like you got off light.

Thanks

I'm looking into it tommorow but I suspect the rod had gone out of round.
