Hi All
Off to Las Vegas & LA in early October and would been keen to hear any advice as to where to pre-order my Dollars from?

Also how much would suggest with 4 full days in Vegas and 3 days in LA!

Look forward to reading any opinions/suggestions you may have to offer! Thanks

Bizarrely M&S usually have the best rates we've found, was recommended to us by both Barclays and Thomas Cook staff.

M&S seconded, at least for High St, also if you have an M&S Money card and pay for your currency with that there is no cash advance fee.

I think for the absolutely best rate they were not the exact top, but so close and the only ones who beat them were a few places we could not get to.

Agree though it's £300 minimum and no delivery charge IIRC.

I've always found using cashpoints out there to be the best option.

You get charged though unless it's a bank recognised as a partner by your own. I think Barclays is Deutsche Bank.

and you have the problem we did in Majorca some years back.

We walked into the one place that was recognised to try and get cash and the bloke behind the counter said "You have to use that card in the machine, how you English call it, the hole in the wall?"

"Very funny!" I said and pointed at the work ongoing to install a new machine, where there was, literally, a hole in the wall. Git!

I find it easier to use my Nationwide debit card in the US to get cash. You pay a few dollars for the convenience, but get a better rate.
