Noise

Just thought I would post this for a bit of info.

i had my exhaust noise for the LS2 and new exhaust measured this week at JP exhausts.

We used two measuring devices and did the test twice.
At 2/3 max power (4k rpm) one device measured 97dba, the other 98dba. We did the test twice and got the same readings both times +/- 0.5dba.

The test was carried out outdoors but in a fairly enclosed area, so probably the readings were slightly higher than they should have been.

At full scream (6.6k) the noise was up to 105dba.

I am extremely pleasantly surprised and very pleased with these results.

How did you carry out the 6600 test Mr H ?

I pressed the pedal on the right and watched the needle move around the numbers. Typo though should have been 6.5k

I work about 1/2 a mile from JP....I m supprised no one said they had seen an ultima about as I hear when Kyle is in town!!.
