Help please - 24hr car insurance

I'm trying to arrange 24hr car insurance on my old mans car.

Main problem being I am 21. Do I have to go through his/my/any insurer? Does anyone recommend any companies?

Before anybody asks, my policy won't give me cover on his as I'm under 25!

Totally clueless on the topic and appreciate any tips.

Can your dads insurer add you to the policy as a temporary driver?, some insurers offer that option.

OP is 21 and Dayinsure does cover.
