Supercharger Insurance

Ok chaps, anyone renewed the insurance with a supercharged car recently ?, mines due for renewal and A mannings aint covering them. Last year the underwriter said they would. So who is using what companies ?

Bugger! they've insured mine for the last 2yrs, now i'm going to have to look around too

yes i was a bit miffed, however had one quote from Adrain flux and awaiting one from classic line

Mine's with Classicline - but I do have an engineer's report and that really helps. Never had any problems in the 21 years I've had it

I seem to recall that if you're unable to get motor cover elsewhere there's an industry agreement that the last insurer is obliged to renew....

I had a renewal from Mannings for mine a couple of weeks ago, policy expires beginning of September.

I called to renew since the premium was similar to last year and they did say that they were only able to insure it since I was already insured with them. The underwriters were not accepting any new s/c cars.

I had a chat with them, and it sounds like some of the Chevy engine transplants are also getting refused cover.

Hope I am not going to have a problem next year.
