changing headlights

I have just bought me a 5l grif from the uk but i have to change te headlights to continent standards.
Can anyone tell me is i have to remover the headlight screens. Or if i can change the headlights trought the hole in the weelarce of the car

Sorry , but its a pods out job to change the head light.

You can try rotating the lights units using the access holes in the wheelarches. If they will move, it is 50/50, whether it will pass your equivilant MOT. Otherwise you need to carefully cut out the covers (at which point, you might as well fit proper LHD lights).
