Hey folks,

planning a night out for the other halfs birthday at the start of September, and looking to get a hotel room booked in Glasgow city centre.
Had a look at a few different review sites and stuff, but was just looking to see if anyone on here had any experience.
Thanks for any replies.

If your looking to impress

Fantastic place, with amazing food.

Not the cheapest, but then you get what you pay for.

Then there is this new hotel, just opened in the last few weeks

Stayed here for a trial run a couple of weeks back. Excellent value for money, and the rooms although compact, were very modern in design and had everything you needed for a short stay. The mood pad and power shower were cool

We designed that place. If anything, the rooms are nicer than the public areas (bars etc).

Glasgow's not as well served for hotels as Edinburgh, I'd say go for The Blythswood, Malmaison or One Devonshire if you want something posh for a special night, or for a something cheaper and trendier try The Brunswick or CitizenM.

By far the best business hotel is the Radisson, and one of their corner suites makes for a pretty impressive overnight pad. Bit pricey though because of being aimed at corporate expense accounts.
