Hello, I am looking to buy a 360 spider, I currently have a Ferrari, and I
am with the specialist who services this on Saturday. If you could mail me
all the details of the services I can run through them with the person who
knows about these things! I know you have the dates but any details would
be
useful. Also any other information that may help, as I have a short list
of
3 at the moment. Many thanks paul

You do realise that your e-mail address has been publicised to 3.2 million people?

Even if he is he could be a bit more professional....and get himself a decent email address instead of trading out of a Tiscali one.

To be fair, if they're going to advertise a car on the net, you'd think they'd be happy to send extra info over e-mail.

Saves travelling 300 miles to see a car, only to find out it's missing a big chuck of history.

Exactly. Some on here seem to think people aren't serious if they only email.

It's true - but a buyer would take you eve more seriously if you follow up the email with a call.

Having looked at their stocklist, I'd suggest that the sales person who sent the email is more used to selling £2-10k family cars than Ferraris. . . . . . .it's a very different world and it doesnt pay to be rude to a potential customer, IMHO dealer should already have the service info on his PC and it should have been as simple casee of copy and pasting it into a reply smile

But the guy above has basically said sod off?!. If you advertise on the internet be prepared to give details out via the internet.

It's also a pretty crappy PH advert (lack of detail) for selling a 60k car!

I wonder why he felt the need to include the pence at the end of the price there. Perhaps he would be happy to sell £59999.73 cars over e-mail, but you've just stepped over the threshold.

If the guy had said "Give us a ring and we'll discuss", or "Give me your number and i'll ring you" then it would be a non event.

Make sure you send a photo of your new 360 to them when you get it, just so they can see the sale they missed out on. And to make the guy a bit jealous of your Ferrari!

I guess the reply is that you are not too keen on purchasing a 60k car from a person who uses a Tiscali account but if they have an e-mail account then I'd expect them to be able to deal through it.

And furthermore that as a person who has 60k to spend on a car, you don't actually have a day to waste travelling up the country to view a car which then has little/no history, as that would be a pure waste of your time and effort, notwithstanding the fact that you want this information today so that you can provide to your expert to ensure that the car is worth travelling to view....

That's actually pretty rude. Imagine if you brought a car from this character and then have to claim something on warranty?
