outrigger repair

has anyone repaired thier own outriggers by lifting the body a bit or have you repaired them by cutting and welding in position, if so can you give somedetails on how much or how many bolts to come off to lift the body a small bit, or how you repaired the section and left the body in position without burning the body, do you have any photos that would go on here or to send to me , as i have a small area at the rear pax side to do and i dont use dealers , can you please not write that you took it to a dealer/specialist to do as i need to know how some one has done their own work. thanks
