Breakfasts off the M3- can anyone help?

Taking a trip down to the New Forest tomorrow and intending to start early and break for breakfast somewhere around North Hampshire. Has anyone got any suggestions for a good place to stop just off the M3, or even the top end of the 303, so avoiding the dreaded Fleet or Winchester Services. Middling to average price ranges preferred.. Dont mind if its a Cafe, Garden Centre, tourist attraction even a supermarket if its particularly good, just dont want to be ripped off by Welcome Break!

The first Little Chef on the southbound A303 is the one that Heston Bloomingheck tarted up.

I've been in, it's ok if you're passing but not worth detouring for.
