V8S Body lift

Having done all the disconnections and tried jacking the body up it apears that the body is about two inches less than the manifolds? Am I missing something here? can't slide it back for the rear suspension mounts? what gives????
I appreciate that the rear will have to be lifted higher for the rear shocks.

You may have also noticed it's narrower than the chassis it's underneath. You have to lift the back way way up in the air and sorta slide it out.

I took the engine out first as it looked easier. Others have taken the manifolds off and left the engine in but it may well be possible to do it with the whole thing left in there.

Note my site is a V6 but I believe it is the chassis that catches rather than the engine and exhaust and that the chassis is the same at the points that catch
