Sag style intake fins on T350.

being an admirer of the Sag, I`ve made up some aluminium fins to go into the front of the radiator air intakes, not only do they look good, I hope, but they also curve inwards to help direct the air to cool the front part of the radiator, so hopefully this will help with cooling temps as well.
I need to get out for a spin, but the Island roads are full of sodding scooters this weekend for an annual rally, its like trying to drive through a swarm of wasps!
not sure if they show up to clearly in the shot taken from the front of the car, especially having sprayed them in a satin black, but I didn`t want them to stand out to much anyway, what do you think??

they just don`t do it for me. Sorry Clive, but if they help with extra cooling, then i suppose they will help.Beauty in eye of beholder as ever, but if angled inward as Clive says they will undoubtedly increase the airflow towards the rad quite substantially, much of which is normally lost out of the intake vent to the side.
This was a good factory idea for the Sagaris, the T350 vent is only just enough for std engine and if you're not running the a/c when using the engine hard.
I tested various fin setups on road & track at 28C upwards, and found that the main effect is from a fin in the first half of the vent as in the pics, which consistently reduced temp by 3C at 70mph & above.
Recently I've gone further and actually blanked off the outer section (between this centre Sag fin and the end of the vent aperture) for a slight aero improvement above 130mph on track. There has been no increase in temps, which proves that the flow from the inner fin is now sufficient for 430bhp.

thanks for the constructive feedback, I will make up another pair a bit shorter so as to set them back a bit, will make them easier to make as well not having to shape the top and bottom radius`, and see what they look like.
they are not quite parallel on one side as it was a bit of a rush job as I wanted to see what they are like before I set off on holiday tomorrow.
tailslide, I am glad to see the holes under the front number plate to let more air in directly under the rad, something I was thinking of but not brave enough in case it didn`t look right, any chance of a pic of the whole front of your car?
I know I`ll possibly gret flamed by a lot of people and accused of spoiling the lines of the car, but in my opinion if it does a good job of reducing the running temps of the cooling system without looking to obtrusive then it can only be a good thing.

They actually made little difference at all, so don't think they'd be necessary. I cut them in some desperation a year ago with the overheating previous 4-L engine, before trying the fins.
But at least if you do decide to have them, they're barely noticeable unless you have a dark colour - this is my only photo where they show up at all.

Sorry all but i think hes done a good job! I had a T350 and always thought the front end looked a little lame and i think these make the front end a little more angry. I like the spacing and i do like the angles. Ok maybe set them back by an inch but i wouldnt bugger around with them to much myself!

no one needs to fall out but everyone can have their own opinion,
personally i wouldnt have them,i think they look amateurish,but each to their own.
i do agree they need set back a bit.
clive,as for the sodding scooters,im sure the island dos'nt complain about the money us scooterists bring to it every year.

I've recently just got Sagaris fins fitted on my t350. Only one on each side mind - They look pretty good IMO. They were glued in rather than bolted in case i wanted to change back.
Can't say ive noticed a drop in temps though but will give her time as i havent driven her much since i've had it done.

How about getting some real ones off a Sagaris and reworking them to fit? The vent on the T350 looks smaller so it should just be a case of trimming them down...
Mine are Sag fins, supplied by TVR Power & I then reworked slightly to fit.Other than that I like them!

Diablos - saw your car on visit to Jason's last wk, all looking good. BTW your fins are only half as deep as mine though which will make some difference.
Also your temps will only be lower on hot days when it's gone above the 'stat range, in those conditions mine used to read up to 98C, and 100+ on track, but now steady 96C even on track on a nice hot 30C day.
