Does the alliance with Judd hint at future road car developments?

Eh? There we were (well not me!:->)criticising Lotus for throwing money at a soapbox racer, and MG-Rover are producing CART engines! I'm not upset by this in principle but I hope its money well spent.

Well it sounds like more of a marketing ploy really doesn't it as they aren't producing the engines themselves. I wonder if the new Coupe will have this V8?

Anybody else suspect a big push into the States for MGR on the back of this? Afterall why CART and not F1 or some other "European" series?

Hats off to the boys for some bloody agressive marketing. They are really going for it.

Anyone know how their sales have been?

Maybe now we will get the CART racing on British TV (I can't get C5 in my area now that it's been taken off non digital satelite). Having watched it in past years, it's far bettr RACING than F1.

Hopefully this will mix up the Ford / Honda semi monopoly in CART as well. Would love to see more manufacturers head into the CART fray, it will make for very interesting racing.

Following on from ATGs comment, MG Rover are to be applauded for their efforts since parting company from BMW. Given the constraints of the 25, 45 and 75 platforms the new MG versions are fine drivers cars, with more brutal versions to come. Add in the CART deal, the BTC performance and the recently announced deal with Caterham to exclusively power all those nutter Lotus 7 derivatives and MG seem to be defying all their critics. Good luck to them (and please buy Lotus as soon as possible)
