Windows wind up when driving

Anyone else suffered this? My windows now automatically go up when I'm driving along.

I've tried unplugging the door and window control box and also the ECU (even changed the chip) but none of this has fixed it.

It coincides with the light on the centre console (button to prevent the doors opening when stationary) flashing.

Any ideas on how to fix it?

Mine has done this for years, will close the windows once per journey. Not sure about the light, never really looked at it whilst driving. Pointless post from me, but at least you are not alone!

I'm hazarding a guess at the system that prevents the doors from opening when the button is pressed is activating of it's own accord and also causing the windows to roll up too. Although why is the real question.

I also managed to lock myself out when I had the car running today whilst I shut the garage. Luckily I left the drivers window open a touch and mabnaged to turn off the ignition. Strangely as soon as I did this the door then opened on the button. So whatever system is causing this strangeness uses a wheel speed and an engine speed signal.

It's an AQD - Air Quality Device, there's a sensor in the nose, if it detects a drop in Air quality, like it smells bull$hit, it will shut the windows.

There's a wheel speed input signal to the window control box. Its on the wiring diagrams.

IIRC it comes straight off the wheel speed sensor wiring to the speedo.

My windows automatically close when I approach warp speed. Always thought it was there to protect the back window from blowing out at high speed

Warp speed....that must be just before it misfires and you slow down in case it overheats....
