door system LED flashing

When I arm the alarm the LED (green one below the ash tray) is now flashing rapidly. Handbook says its a fault. Anyone know where to look first? Everything seems to be shut ok. Can't see anything obvious. Lubricated the door and boot mechanisms today, would that do it?

Nope its nothing to worry about they all do it. Why it says in the manual its a fault I'm not sure

I could be wrong...but I think you'll find the 'alarm LED' is the red one in the rear window and it flashes a certain number of times depending which sensor is at fault e.g. doors. Whereas the green LED in the cabin is just the central locking indicator and it always flashes several times when the car is first locked.

Yes, can't see anything obviously wrong. The red LED in the rear mirror is indeed the alarm LED, but according to the manual the green LED shows the status of the central locking which operates with the alarm fob. This flashed normally before (i.e. only a few times when first locked). Now it flashes rapidly all the time once armed. Will get it checked out when next in.
