Binatone mystery

Hi all, I have a Binatone satnav and, just recently I've had a problem getting it to find an address by keying in the road name.

But, if I enter the postcode, it finds the same road straight away. Does anyone know why it would do this, as it isn't always possible to have the postcode of a new destination.

Hi, yes, tried that, it made no difference. It scrolls through the list of roads as it should, but often doesn't show the one required. (some of these being major, long-established roads)
