Remembering Richard

Just figured I'd pop a thread up here to mention the Richard Burns memorial day at Prodrive on the 25th September. Richard was the first (and thus far only) English WRC champion, and died way too early. IMO he's often overlooked, as fellow Brit Colin Mcrae seemed to hoover a lot of the limelight. He was brilliant driver, and the Richard Burns Foundation has done a lot of good in his memory.

I'm nothing to do with the organisation or the RBF, just mentioning it here as it doesn't seem to have had a lot of publicity. Mrs Ephraim, the bijou Ephraimette and I are hoping to be there in the missus' WRX, all other things willing.

He was a great man & driver, at Goodwood once when i was reasonably young he stopped a T.V interview to give me his autograph and i had my picture with him, i still have the picture . Also saw him at Castle Combe when the poor man was very ill, the round of applause he got whilst being driven round brought a tear to your eye. R.I.P Richard, gone but never forgotten

Richard always came across as a proper top bloke. Think this sounds like a very fitting way to remember him. I'll certainly try and get down for this. Nice one. R.I.P. my man.
