While the engine is out of the car I'd like to replace the water pump just for piece of mind.

The local Landrover parts desk told me this part is now unobtainium.

Nothing wrong with my one but I don't know it's history.

Can anyone tell me if they are still made by any of the handful of manufacturers and do you have a part number for the local factors.

I specifically need this type - or shorter (which I think were fitted on Morgans).

Many thanks.

Yes they also come up on ebay from time to time, last one I bought was about 25 quid.

You have to be careful to look at the pictures. The fan stub can be cut off if too long.

Got my last one from RPI - very helpful. Just be careful about any gasket supplied. The first one I got (which came with the pump) was very thin, and I ended up bending and trapping it on installation. RPI's aftermarket gaskets are far better. No problems since.

Thanks guys.

This morning I noted RPI list these pumps but little pricy frown

Re car.

2 x rear Brembo handbrake calipers arrived.

Beautiful notched tubing arrived for fabrication of new lower rear wishbones.

Awaiting delivery of full and 'go large' AP discs and calipers for all four corners.

Front hubs should arrive early this coming week.

I think another couple of weeks and new suspension and brakes will be nearly there.

Thanks for all the leads re pump.

BTW, nice engine on ePay but I think a little optimistic in the NP dept:
