....I am getting "Warning, EFI fault" flasing up on the POD screen intermittently. Doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it and the car is going well, so I can't believe the EFI is faulty

Anyone any ideas/seen it before?

Cheers

Mine did this when one of the lambdas went, Have you got a sooty exhaust pipe?

Running rich on one back can cause issues and shag the cat so get it checked sooner rather than later. Laptop will show it up straight away if it is.

chances are if its intermittent it might be wet related - my Tuscan only ever did it after a wash.....

Hi all, no not got wet for three weeks as I've been on holiday. Lambda's sounds possible as I do have a sooty exhaust, but it's also using oil which I assumed what was causing it. Looks like time for a service......

Thanks for the replies.

Hi all

Update on this. I've been paying more attention to when the fault comes up, and it is only on light throttle openings - when idleing or on more than about 15% throttle the error goes away. Am I right in thinking throttle pots, as surely the Lambda's will be working from idle up to about 50% of WOT? To make is harder, it only happens when the engine is hot i.e. up top full oil and water temps........

It's going in on Friday anyway, but thought it worth consulting the PH massive smile

Cheers
