Starter fuse location help..

Just waxoiled the chassis today on my 94 griff 500 and when i went to start her the dash lights and fuel pump came on but no starter,i turned the key back and tried again and then i had no dash lights or fuel pump and no starter.
Ive checked the fuse board and there ok plus the radio and windows still work,
but i cant find the fuse thats underneath by the starter motor any ideas?

Follow the live leads from the battery and there should be a fuse in a black box, which may be the culprit. The main fuse should be on the chassis rail near the starter motor, but maybe there isn't one there as there is no standard.

Cheers i will trace from the battery as i cant find anything by the starter only the wires going up in to the engine bay.

There may also be another 100A fuse inline from the battery. IT's located n the mass of cabling tucked around the battery.

It's not a starter fuse! It's a fuse in the charging circuit that just happens to be connected to the starter motor.

It didn't appear until some time into the production cycle. At 1994 your car probably doesn't have it.

With the symptoms you describe my first port of call would be the ignition switch: neither the radio nor the windows are powered through it. My second would be the immobiliser, although I'd expect the oil and ignition lights to still work.

When he's been waxing the chassis it's more likely he's just pulled the spade terminal off the starter

theres no fuse or black box by the batery the wires just go up into the dash?

they just go to the starter motor plus ive checked the feed to the ignition barrel and there no feed at all?

LOOSE FLAMING 15AMP FUSE!

thats all it was now ive gotta put itall back together...
