Motorbike Parking at Glasgow Airport

Has anybody here got experience of parking a motorbike in the short stay car park at Glasgow Airport? The information below from the Best Motorcycle Information website gives an indication as to what to expect but are there plenty of spaces to park that aren't actual parking spaces meaning that I therefore don't have to buy a ticket? Considering one can park at Heathrow Airport free of charge, I'll be damned if I'm paying to park at Glasgow Airport...

"You can park free in the short stay if you do not take a ticket at the barrier and do not park in a parking space, otherwise the bays at the short stay car parks charge half the normal parking rates"
