Similar to Porsche 993 Prices, have Ferrari F355 prices bottomed out?

I know there are expensive to maintain.
But....
If I bought one now for say £30K, in 1 years time (given I maintain it properly) I can't see it going down much if any?

Seem like a good investment if prices will not drop much? Just need to put up with maintenance, insurance and tax.

What you guys think?

Providing a 30k one is still working by the time you come to sell, I have no doubt you will make very little, if any loss.

I think you'll struggle to find a decent one (tidy, no stories) for 30k now unless you hit on something in a weird spec or high mileage.

I've been looking at prices over the last week or so with keen interest due to an ongoing insurance claim with mine. I'd say they've certainly at least frozen, but maybe even gone up 5% or so since January if the summer demand has now gone and current prices are not inflated.

Don't forget though, you'd still lose your dealer premium if you sold again, the going rate for a SOR is about £3k, so the car would need to appreciate by that much (plus whatever you paid for inspection etc) for you to have actually not lost any money

ETA: btw, I'm basing this on watching the cars at well regarded specialists such as Rardley, Nick Cartwright etc. who have a reputation to lose if they sell a bad car. I ignore the cars for sale at unknown places. As far as I'm concerned the cars there are the ones that the quality dealers didn't want to take on.

Id buy a car off say Nick Cartright, if i couldnt afford a low mileage minter then i just wouldnt buy (IMHO) . I looked at loads of bottom end cars, blimey some of them are rough, seeing corrosion on the 5 355's i viewed aint nice. I bottled it and bought a 2001 996 turbo, less exciting but with a warranty, so i can sleep at night. Yes i know 355 garage queens can suffer niggles , but the overall condition of them is what preserves thier value. I doubt you would ever lose on a minter. Never has the saying 'buy the best you can afford' been more apt.
