Idle adjustment

Got a question on adjusting the idle.

I am following the Bible's steps to adjust the idel: block stepper motor suppy then get the engine to idle around 500rpm.

Have a 72mm plenum with a stealth cam in my Griff, however even with the idle adjusting screw completely removed, I am unable to get the car to idle with the air supply to the stepper motor blocked. I am thinking that with the cam, the engine just can't get enough air to idle (even at a low rpm) due to the diameter of the butterfly bypass.

I have blocked the stepper supply, looking for an idle rpm of abt 500rpm. Can't get it to idle at all.

Any tips?

Sounds like you have a blockage in the bypass channel it should not be a problem. Mind you everything else has to be correct like ignition timing, and mixture (no air leaks) as the stepper can cover up a mulitude of idle problems.
