Kicks off today. I think Murray might win it.

Agreed; providing he plays positive tennis and doesn't slip into defensive "hope the other player will make a mistake" mode I think he's got a great chance. He's been knocking on the door of a grand slam title for a while and it's about time he got that monkey off his back by finally winning one; hard courts are his best surface so the next two weeks certainly offer an excellent opportunity!

Decent win for Elena Baltacha today.

Murray looks to have an excellent chance IMHO.

agreed and he should be full of confidence after beating both Nadal and Federer recently

does he have another 'mode' in grand slam tennis?

He certainly did for the majority of this year's Aussie Open, playing fantastic, and fantastically positive, tennis. However, he slipped into defensive mode in the final and was beaten easily by Fed. Hopefully he'll manage to keep the agression the whole way through this time...

Watching Murray play Wawrinka at the moment - it's 1 set all with Murray a break up in the third. Not sure what the fk Murray is playing at, he's standing a couple of feet behind the baseline in most of the rallies. So much so for his new aggressive style of play.

Federer looks as good as ever this week and Djokovic looks back to his best. Not convinced Nadal can win here.

Edit - and just as I type Murray is broken to love....being far too passive once again.

Bye Bye Murray. Another Slam, another flop. Absolute shocker of a performance and no doubt he's going to blame some sort of injury for it.

At least at the press conference he was honest by saying that he got beat because the other guy played better than him. It's not been his year but hopefully next year might be different.

Anyone know if the final is being shown on freeview tonight? Apparantly starting at 21.00 due to rain yesterday.

Don't think it'll be on Freeview. It's been on Sky Sports the past fortnight.

Well, they finally managed to get finished last night and you can only say well done Nadal! To be honest I thought Djokovic had probably left his best match behind him after beating Federer in the semi-final but take nothing away from Rafa; he dropped only one set in this tournament, has won three of the four grand slams this year and fully deserves the number one ranking.

I saw him in the ATP Masters at the O2 last November and really wondered if he'd ever be the same player again; he was obviously still not fully fit and didn't win a single set in any of his three matches. Things didn't look much better at the Australian Open in January so to turn it round in the way he has is huge credit to him and his team!

Question is, will Federer be able to bounce back from a disappointing season in a similar way? Part of me would like to say yes as at his best he really is a tremendous player. However, where Rafa had to overcome a physical barrier, Roger's problem is probably more in the mind; does he actually believe he's still the best and even if he does has he got the motivation to prove it?
