Solar Trickle Chargers.....Recommendations Please....

A bit early I know but.....

I plan to use one of these over this winter instead of taking the battery off whilst the car is in hibernation (usually end of October ish until March ish).

Just doing some research and there are examples from £9.99 to £199.99???

Does anyone have any particular recommendations.....easy of use....value for money....BUT particularly....power and battery maintenance (able to keep the alarm system working and battery tip top etc?)

Don't try them in a garage without windows; unlike a well known singer tried with his DB7.

Most of them will fix to outside of garage wall or roof, and then run wires to car.....

However, get the highest rated one you can, (ie biggest physical size one) as I tried using a 30 quid one for the bike and it was useless..... didn't have enough ooopmh in it to keep battery charged.

I have a 2.4W one (that's 2.4W in equatorial mid-day I suspect) which does a pretty decent job. I tried the small one, but they are just not up to the job. Fortunately, my windscreen points south most of the time when it is parked up, with no obstructions.
