Fuel Line

Has a fuel line like a lawn sprinkler though.

Bought the requisite 5/16" fuel hose, got under today and.... where the hell's the fuel pipe gone ?

Can anyone tell me where the fuel line runs from fuel filter onwards as it dissapears up into the transmission tunnel. I've 5 metres of fuel line so should be able to fix it unless the fuel return is forked.

It should attach to a hard line up in the top the inner arch. I found I had to remove the carbon canister to get to the fittings. Unless you have a special crimper re-attaching the fittings will be fun for you. I sent mine off to racetech, but as you already have the pipe you may not want to...

Where is the fuel line leaking? The Fuel goes from the filter and connects to a steel fuel line that runs down the inside of the car, it won't be leaking in there. The only flexible fuel pipe is from the Pump > Filter > Steel line in the cabin. Then from the Steel fuel line > Engine Fuel rail.

Change all the fuel lines, not just the one that’s sprung a leak... they’re probably all the same age and will have deteriorated at the same rate.

Already replaced the front fuel line as that was shot to buggery.

I had one go, I popped into a local hydraulic engineers trade counter and had that one made up for me whilst I waited, The same one in question cost me about £15.

Not too hard to do, as long as you don't have hands like spades!

Who did you use to fabricate the pipe and what did it end up being material wise ?
