Single trip European breakdown cover

Off to France for 5 days, can anyone recommend by personal experience a breakdown company. Vehicle Rescue Direct cheaper than AA or RAC by £10 but is it worth paying the extra?

Used Tesco breakdown for my road trip this year as they seemed to be well priced plus good cover. Never had to use it though.

To cut a long tale short: I bought my cover this year on price and regretted it. Make sure you read the (not so) small print and get the cover you may need.
