Probably gonna get panned for this but hey-ho.
I've never seen such a load of tasteless old TaT in all my life !!
Nothing on there interests me at all.
Who is in charge of design for gods sake.
They are selling union jack tee's for £17.....i mean how many of those do you reckon they have shipped?? (and its not a money thing)
I own a TVR and want the world to know (subtly mind) but i ain't prepared to cough up for that stuff.
Its Primark badged TVR at best. A black baseball cap with the TVR logo was a gift...its passable.

Why doesn't someone get licenced and knock up some quality polo's, tee's and sweats.

I hope you do not get panned - overall I have to agree with your comments. I do not think I have seen any TV clothing yet that I would wear.

A few years ago I bought a purple polo-shirt with self coloured TVRCC logo, because it was purple on purple it was quite subtle. I agree the Union flag stuff looks like it was intended for those few years when TVR raced at Le Mans and everyone was there partying, now it looks sort of odd.

I agree with Gavin about the clothing, it's about time they came into the modern day fashion.
So you will have to express yourself to the TVRCC about the issue and get everyone else to back you up, if rest felt the same way.

Just thought it and pulled the trigger !!
I'm also a huge Arsenal football fan and i'm of a mind its the same designers !!! stuck in the 1950's. (i have a ball cap and car sticker only as i'm not a replica shirt man!!)

Re TVRCC....I will contact the club and express my views (not scared to) and you never know.
When you compare it to other marques i think we have a world class logo and a rich vein of history and class combined.
I just feel the club are missing a trick and an earner.
I'd spend good money on a quality prouct.....and i doubt i'm alone.
So just testing the air to see if anyone agrees....i feel it is constructive critisism albeit to the point !
Sorry if it rattles the odd cage

I agree. I have emailed the marketing man. IMO, the club regularly misses tricks. Having appointed the marketing man a year ago, I have yet to see any changes.

BTW, observing club members at Chatsworth, Wedgies excepted, there were many getting out the picnic chairs and the polishing packs. That is 1950's style if ever I have seen some. Cars are to be used not subjects for adoration. Or have I got it wrong?

BTW, I qualify for being an old fogey.

I agree Henry, but we did manage to lose most of them on the run back on Saturday evil

Well worth taking this one to the TVR CC website .. IMHO.

I've bought gear from them before but I liked it a lot.

I do love this argument, as if you'd go shooting with a Purdy and not keep it clean and polished. The two are not mutually exclusive.

I doubt many shooters would be obsessive enough to polish their Purdey
in the middle of a grouse moor though. I've never been a fan of these "park in a field and polish" type events. My car generally gets polished once a year.

As Henry says, cars are for driving. If you're into the whole concours thing fine, but it's not the purpose that cars were designed or built for.

Oh it's Purdey. Did I misspell the manufacturer's name? Bugger, you've got me, that defeats my whole argument. tongue out

OK then boys, dip your hands in your pockets, design a range and produce your own range of TVR stuff.

I tried it with my "Union Jack TVR Made in Blackpool Badges", not as easy to do as you first think. Maybe the wrong product, but hey, i like them!

Absolute piece of piss! all of the promotional embroidery garment people have racks of catalogues with some pretty tidy stuff in them, super trendy some if it. It all depends on how much you want to spend. Most opt for the 'Fruit of the loom' type gear which is OK quality.

The quality of the logo / image pretty much depends again on how much you want to spend on reproducing it as its down to the stitch count, colours used etc. It costs quite a few quid to get a master disk produced for embroidery and you then need to sell quite a few to recoup the costs.

Screen printed t-shirts etc can be quite cheap but again you have the setup costs. A better bet would to have these vinyl cut machines and and then heat press transferred to the garment using the special material. Made my TVRwedgepages t-shirts using this method and had them transferred to shirts I bought in Tesco's!

Another issue would be the TVR logo itself. Presumably somebody still has the registered trademark rights? But with the company up the creek does this matter? This dosen't seem to bother the Chinese of other people on Ebay for instance producing all sorts of TVR badged tat.

As for Purdy's / purdey's I prefer an M16 myself!
