3000 deaths and 250,000 injuries in the UK (IIRC from that BBC program on tonight).

Carbon emissions and all the general environmental stuff in getting fuel.

Surely more injuries and deaths occur in the home or at work, you can scrap that one!

Nothing wrong with looking at the negatives of cars - clearly there are many.


Of course its people that add negatives to cars for the most part but lets look at them as a whole rather just blaming specific issues on types of people.

Technology has made it easier for people to stay at home and not go out: I ordered a dozen things from different parts of the world this month and spent a lot of money and the sum total of the human interaction I had was when I had to sign for some of the packages. Oh - and one telephone call.

One negative of owning a car and becoming a petrolhead seems to be that a lot of tts have signed up to a website like this.

The fact that we are denied simple and basic transportation by a snobbish perception that we must have IRS, airbags, tyre pressure monitors and all the crap that makes a car so inefficient.
