How to spend money on a TVR.

I've been lurking for a while now, been to a few establishments and had a look at cars in the flesh, had a go in a Tuscan 2 and a Cerbera 4.5 and have come to the conclusion that I NEED a TVR in my life!
But what would be the best direction to head in?
Of the TVRs, it was the Sagaris that caught my eye and addmittedly it is probably what my heart desires (saying that, I haven't managed to get a go in one yet)
The drive in the Cerbera blew my socks off, I never knew a car could have the same overrun bangs and pops as a bike, till I got in there and don't even start me on that V8 throb!
To get to the point.
With a budget of no more than 40K would it be wiser to go for something such as the Sag or look at a 350 or Tuscan and just throw money at it getting uprated engine/shocks/brakes etc?
Of the Tuscans, I prefer the shape of the Tuscan 1 but from reading the net, seem to be under the impression that the 2 is much more usable. Can a 1 be upgraded with bits and pieces to make it as good as the 2?
Like I said earlier, I did love the Cerb, but its not quite "in your face" enough for me.
So....Would the general concensus be to get the newest car available such as the Sag? Or, spend the time and money getting something else upto a similar level?
