Well you just have to support this show. It is free if;
You arrive in a kit car,
Or you subscribe to Kit Car magazine,
Or you purchase a guide from KC i.e
Cobra guide,
Seven guide,
A-Z kit car guide,
Classic replica guide,
or IVA guide.
You are then admitted free.
You camp for free,
you use the showers and toilets for free,
you are admitted to the halls for free.
ONE EXCEPTION;
If you turn up in a tin top or are a passenger in a kit you will be charged to enter the hall, the rest is as above. Unless you are a subscriber to the Kit Car magazine or have purchased a guide, then
ITS FREE.
It's on the 18th/19th of Sept, 2 weeks on Saturday.
These guy's are working very hard to keep it on a locost basis and deserve our support.

I agree - any kit car arriving at/attending a show ought to have freee admission however many passengers they have on board. After all without any kit cars the organiser has NO show, Many so called kit car shows have failed over the years for just this reason - quite right too.
WHy don't organisers tempt Kit car drivers by giving them a fixed petrol allowance for attending, I'm certain this would encourage many more Kitcars to turn upthumbup

Thanx for the positive comments guys. I will contact the organisers and see if they can book the NEC for next year and provide 5 star hotel accom for anyone that comes along in any kit car. I would imagine they will adopt a points system so that if the fields are already full of the type of car that arrives at the gate then that driver will have to pay, but if it's a rare one off home build that it is unique in some way and shows what us crazy Brits are capable of then he would be paid for coming, sounds like a balanced and correct approach to me. Obviously the shows need support of EVERY kit car that they can encourage to come along. It is without a doubt of paramount importance that kits are in abundance of any type at these events, complete or not, crazy or not, quality or not.
I would like to see new blood being attracted to the shows and those guys being tempted to join in our diverse and interesting hobby. A field full of unusual cars and club gatherings is a good start.
If you have any other ideas as to what would attract a new audience or ensure the current audience is happy then please post here. I will pass on any constructive ideas to the organisers. They may well be reading this thread so please don't take the urine.

Well put stig.

As far as i can see, it is a matter of publishing at the moment. The Stafford kit car show is not very well publicised, the only publicity being the magazine itself, which is a good start, but the organisers need to send out lots more invites to clubs and manufacturers, as well as setting up a purpose website with site plan and club listings. This is the only way it will get bigger. I am pleased to hear that it is free entry for drivers of kits and there are free camping facilities as well as other perks for owners, this makes it very appealing and hopefully as it grows in size each year, it will be heading towards Stoneleigh size and importance in the Kit car Calendar. I am not always able to flick through the latest magazines, and so have completely missed the publicity that Stafford was set and only told by a Citroen Specials Club member which made me have a look, unlike Stoneleigh, which is talked about all over the place.

I think that some owners are reluctant to go to shows anymore. The opportunity to meet like minded people nutters and have a nosey at their cars is more than worth the trip if you ask me, it is only a bonus that it is pretty much free (with free camping and facilities). Since going to Stoneleigh for the first time this year, I picked up so many good ideas and inspiration that i simply dont have enough time and money to do everything. The point of meeting up for the sake of meeting up should be more than enough reason to go, after all, this is what all the other car clubs do (VW fanboys, Barry boys, supercar owners), so why isn't that enough for some kit car owners?

Please see the dedicated site section for the show. It does not mention kit car drivers are free but I am assured this is the case by the organisers.

Just noticed in the "OUTSIDE" page of the show link I posted it says the Sonic7 is a single seater marketed by RTR. That should read "Atomic single seater Rocket and tR1ke marketed by RTR Ltd".
Mills Extreme Vehicles Ltd at Mansfield manufacture and market the Sonic7 and Exocet.
Road Track Race Ltd manufacture the Atomic, Rocket and tR1ke under licence from MEV LTD.
All will be on show next weekend. Please come and say hello. Regards Stiggy
