For various reasons (one of them being a Sagaris), I am toying with the idea of selling my T350 Targa.
I will be selling it privately when the time comes, but not sure what it should be priced at. I don't want to put the car up and have it waiting for months and months because it's wrongly priced.
2005, Spectraflair T350T, 22,000 miles with all the options and needless to say, full service history with 12,000 mile just carried out at Jason's last week.

First of all, get a move on. The summer is nearly over and sales drop over the colder months.
You should look at the other cars for sale and price yours accordingly. The right car in the right colour in good condition should sell reasonably quickly if not overpriced. IMO a lot depends on your location too - cars oop North seem to take longer to shift on average.
Make sure you get a good range of photos up showing things like the driver's seat bolsters, the paintwork in the sunshine etc.

In exactly the same position as yourself, mine currently up for sale to fund Sag purchase (2004 Targa in Reflex Green, 23,950miles, just had a 12,000 mile service, overall in excellent condition and everything good to go for a new owner - located in the SW).
Had it up at £22,995 - only 1 enquiry in the first month which came to nothing. Thought I had a very detailed and well laid out advert up (IMHO!), so surprised not more interest, especially as lots of other T350's are selling at the moment. Now with a dealer on SOR, lets see how that goes.....
Anyway, I have been (sadly) keeping a detailed spreadsheet tracker on all PH T350's since 01 July 2010 to make sure I didn't overprice. For 2004 T350's, here are the stats:
16 x 2004 Cars for Sale (10 x C's and 6 x T's)
Average price across all 2004 cars = £22,642 (I excluded 1 x car which was a sh*gged CAT C crash and skewed prices)
Average Dealer Price = £24,205
Average Private Price = £22,448 (I excluded 2 x cars with over 50,000miles which skewed prices)
Average 2004 Targa Price = £23,338
Average 2004 Dealer Targa Price = £23,850
Average 2004 Private Targa Price = £22,997 (averaging 21,500 miles on clock)
Of the 16 x 2004 cars, 6 have sold at an average price of £22,938 (taking face value price only). These were broken down as:
2 x C (Dealer), 1 x T (Dealer - £22,950), 2 x C (Private), 1 x T (Private - £23,000)
Just for comparison as well, averages for both Dealer and Private:
2005 Targa's at £25,100 (averaging 17,750 miles on clock)
2003 Targa's at £21,473 (averaging 20,700 miles on clock - only 2 have been up for sale, hence lower average mileage than greater volume of 2004 T's)
Overall, there have been 44 x T350's for sale (1 x 2006, 8 x 2005, 16 x 2004, 19 x 2003 - 34 x C's and 10 x T's), 16 have shown as sold - taking all 44 x cars an average T350 on PH, any age, any mileage, any condition costs £21,034 and has averaged 22,850miles!!
In summary if you price at £22K-23K, this is right on the money and should sell if it's a nice car!!

Note: IMO having aircon makes a big difference, to saleability if not absolute price. Most people getting into these cars from German/Japanese sports cars are used to it. We all know how hot it can get in the cabin on a TVR so it makes sense.
Another thing - some of the interior colour combos are a little strange which probably doesn't help those cars sell either.

- 2 - Cash is King - Would be able to get a better deal buying a Sag with cash rather than PX

There are some aspects of the TVR that i miss (noise, reaction & looks not withstanding the drive) but i dont regret the change to a GT3. Having said that, if life treats me well, i hope to own another TVR soon.
It's more the case that I think Sag prices are only ever going to go northwards - no matter what the season is. They are coming up on the radar of collectors more and more (from the industry gossip, and the fact that 'Octane' carried a TVR feature this month means that they are now falling outside the 'Evo' crowd, IMHO).
Is it worth taking the pain and getting what you want (I did with the Tamora), before the prices go up?
