Hi Neil, yes must get a decent camera sometime the old Nikon is now rather dated. Am thinking of selling the 1600M, I have owned it for 24 years but it does'nt get as much use as it deserves, took it to Harewood and it went very well. It could do with a bit of TLC but mechanically its fine. The galvanised chassis is still perfect.
Yes pop over when you have a minute.

Thanks, it's my 3000S, and it got within 1 second of the quickest Vixens!

Not bad as it's over 200kgs heavier than them, and that's not counting the heavier driver.

I've had the car for about 8 years, over a 10 year period. I sold it once, but bought it back.

Its not the most pristine car, but it's no trailer queen either, it gets driven to events all over the country.

Hi Ian, I just realised it was you.

I was really quite pleased to get to 68.7, as Stewart did a 67.96

Get yours going properly & we'll be among them Vixens next year.

See you soon.

Hey Paul, I understood that it's not possible to a galv Tiv chassis as they twist. Did you have any problems or solutions to avoid possible issues?

The previous owner who restored the car had it galvanised and also filled the rails with oil. It will outlast me!

Never experienced any problems that suggest it is twisted it handles very well- for a standard car! On the negative side Galvanising does add a fair bit of weight so no good for competition. On the plus side forget about corrosion.
