Grandpa had a serious stroke yesterday afternoon caused him to fall out his loft hatch so had to be airlifted to hospital.

Had the phone call saying get there quick, don't think he's gonna make it.

That was about 30 hours ago and he's still hanging in. Breathing on his own and has opened his eyes briefly. Seems to be responding to us talking as though he can hear.

Keeping fingers crossed and hoping he pulls through, the waiting is horrible though and its hit me pretty hard, not really sure what to do at the moment.

Not really sure why I'm posting this, just trying to put a bit of reality into it I guess, still just in shock, one day he's fine and happy as larry, and the next he's barely with us with no warning.

Not so good mate, Old folk are more resilient than you might think! Got my fingers crossed for ya, Hope all works out well, and don't worry about posting concerns on an internet site, we all do it from time to time, Take Care mate and look after the old fella!

Do try to be there in case this is his 'time', he'll appreciate it. But don't feel bad if he does 'go' - we all do. And he wouldn't want it the other way around...
